Surely we belong to Allāh (swt), and indeed to Him we shall return.

 

It is with sadness that we inform you of the demise of Marhuma Hajjiyah Khairunnisa Mavani, who passed away last night (December 22, 2020), and will be buried at South Haven Cemetery in Edmonton on Saturday, December 26, 2020.

 

Marhuma was the wife of Haji Hasanali Mavani and mother of Br. Mahmood Mavani, Sr. Shamima Chattoo, Br. Ashiq Mavani, and Br. Abid Mavani, all of Edmonton and Br.Hamid Mavani of Los Angeles.

 

Our heartfelt condolences and prayers are with the entire family during this difficult time. May Allah (swt) rest the Marhuma's departed soul in eternal peace in Jannah, and give the family strength to bear this great loss - Ameen.

 

In accordance with provincial guidelines, only 10 pre-registered immediate relatives, volunteers and those invited by the family will attend Salāt al-Mayyit and the burial.

 

Everyone attending the funeral will be required to wear masks and are requested to refrain from any physical contact (shaking hands, embracing) and ensure that they respect the physical distancing requirements.
